Why 'Flawless' Matters in Finishing Touches

Gaps around doors? Uneven skirting? We fix imperfections other carpenters ignore:

  • 0 mm Tolerance – Laser-measured cuts for seamless joints.
  • Style Consistency – Match period features or modern minimalism.
  • Durable Materials – Solid wood, moisture-resistant MDF, or eco-friendly alternatives.

We work across a wide range of property types — from Victorian terraces in Croydon and Wandsworth where original sash windows and period architraves need to be matched precisely, to new builds in Guildford and Redhill where we upgrade standard-fit doors and skirting with higher-quality joinery. Every job is measured on-site with laser precision. We do not use standard off-the-shelf sizing.

Serving: Guildford, Croydon, Sutton, Bromley, Redhill, and 15+ Surrey and London areas.

Our Craftsmanship in Detail

Bespoke Windows & Doors

We don't just fit – we rebuild frames for optimal insulation and aesthetics.

  • Energy-efficient upgrades – Reduce drafts and lower heating bills.
  • Custom designs – Bay windows, French doors, sliding patio systems.
  • Hardware matching – Brass, chrome, or matte black handles.
  • Period property expertise – Sash windows, panel doors, and original-profile replication for Victorian and Edwardian homes.

Timeline: Single door or window replacement typically takes 1 day. Multiple windows or a full set of internal doors run 2–5 days depending on the scope.

Skirting Boards & Architraves

The devil's in the details – and so is the beauty.

  • Height customisation – From discreet 50mm to statement 300mm profiles.
  • Decorative mouldings – Victorian, Art Deco, or contemporary flat designs.
  • Child and pet-proof finishes – Scratch-resistant paints and lacquers.
  • Profile matching – We replicate existing skirting and architrave profiles for extensions and renovations so new rooms blend seamlessly with old.

Timeline: Skirting and architrave installation for a standard 3-bedroom home takes 1–2 days.

Full Room Finishing

  • Coving installation – Smooth transitions between walls and ceilings.
  • Door lining adjustments – Eliminate squeaks and misalignments.
  • Post-construction repairs – Fix damage from plastering or flooring work.
  • Conservation area compliance – We advise on what is and is not permitted under local planning rules before any work begins.

Timeline: Full room finishing typically takes 2–3 days per room, depending on ceiling height and moulding complexity.

Materials We Use

We match materials to your property type, room use, and budget:

  • Solid timber (oak, pine, tulipwood) – Best for period properties and high-end finishes. Takes paint or stain beautifully.
  • Moisture-resistant MDF – Ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, and high-humidity rooms. Smooth finish, paint-ready.
  • Standard MDF – Cost-effective for living rooms and bedrooms. Pre-primed options available.
  • Composite / PVC-wrapped – Extremely durable, no warping, minimal maintenance. Suited to busy family homes.

All timber is 100% FSC-certified. All finishes are low-VOC.

❓ FAQs — Windows, Doors & Finishing Joinery

  • Q: Can you match my existing skirting or architrave profile?
A: Yes. Send us a photo or bring a sample — in most cases we can replicate the profile exactly. If the original profile is no longer in production, we machine it to match in our workshop.
  • Q: How long does architrave and skirting installation take?
A: For a standard 3-bedroom home, 1–2 days. Larger properties or rooms with complex coving and moulding work may run to 3 days.
  • Q: Do I need planning permission to replace windows in Surrey?
A: In most cases no — window replacement is permitted development. However, if your property is in a conservation area or is listed, restrictions apply. We check this at the free site visit and advise before any commitments are made.
  • Q: Can you work on Victorian sash windows?
A: Yes — sash window repair and replacement is one of our specialisms. We work with period-appropriate timber and can replicate original glazing bar profiles for a sympathetic finish.
  • Q: Do you dispose of old materials?
A: Yes — all removed frames, boards, and offcuts are taken away and recycled responsibly. No skips left on your driveway.
  • Q: Is there a warranty on installation?
A: Yes — 5-year warranty on all installations, plus free adjustments within 6 months of completion.
